I am going to keep this review simple, of all the books I have read, and of all the books I have logged and rated on here, this is the only book I feel deserves 5 stars.

Giving it 4 stars because as a whole it was entertaining but let’s be honest, the last 10% of the book was the best part. it’s very clear our author is an avid reader and one time someone told her she was good at writing so she took that and flew with it. Definitely unoriginal and if I had to read the word “keen” one more time I was going to die - you cannot write a dystopian novel that uses current English language 99.9% of the time then throw in some new word just because they dropped an atomic bomb 100 years ago - that does not a new civilization make. That being said, when the next book comes I’ll read it, but I’m not itching for it.

More like 3.75⭐️ - the last quarter of the book was good, definitely left me wanting to read the next one.

This was a DNF for me about 3 chapters in. Oof this is rough and I usually like Blake Crouch’s books too - very disappointing

I did not even get 11% in. I couldn’t do it. It’s my fault for having eyes and being curious

I just wanted so much more. Or for it to go on longer

DNF - I just couldn’t get into it. Honestly, I was listening to the audiobook and I think the narrator was the problem. She was clearly an adult trying to portray a teen and it just didn’t vibe
