maybe it’s because I went in with low expectations, but I absolutely adored this. I was giggling, gasping, and having visceral reactions to these characters (which is always my sign of a 5-star read). plus I love that she’s a self-published author who’s absolutely killing it. major respect!!!

what a debut!!!!! I love everything about this novel. the deeply complex and flawed characters, the pining, the angst, the writing. perfection!!!!!

3.75 stars!

this book pulled at my heartstrings!!! my mom is my best friend, so the that dynamic really resonated with me. I loved the writing style, and the fact that there was no spice was a pleasant surprise

It did take me a while to fully connect, I wasn’t completely hooked until around the 60% mark, but once I got there, I was invested in the characters and their journey. would love to read more of her books!

this book had everything I want in a 5-star romance, slow burn, second chance, an amazing MMC…but I just wasn’t all that attached to the wedding plot line and I was so stressed over things constantly going wrong

everyone drop what you’re doing and read this book

the five star weekend was a 3 star book for me

the pacing was solid, and the premise had so much potential. But unfortunately, most of the characters annoyed me, and that made it hard to stay invested.

one thing that really pulled me out of the story was the constant use of modern references (TikTok, The Masked Singer, etc.). I know it's meant to make the story feel current, but for me, it broke the immersion and made the narrative feel less timeless.

I keep hoping to fall in love with her books, especially since they seem perfect for summer reading… but this is my second try, and both times I've walked away feeling like they were just okay

I really liked this one!! reminded me a lot of tuck everlasting + addie larue. some parts were a little confusing to me but anytime there’s time travel elements involved I am a little slow lol. romance subplot was cute but not my favorite. ADORED the setting / vibes. very whimsical very mystical very hunger games covey coded
