I will read spicy, but I don’t actually care about the spicy. I want the plot and the drama and the psychological horror that comes with trauma.

at the end of it all it was a whole lot of nothing like if it did not happen it wouldn’t have changed anything

Honestly, I just found it so unappealing/monotone/too sporadic I understand that many characters will contradict their actions via what they’re actually thinking but in this case, it was just a mine numbingly boring even with the actions going against social norms

I love multiple point of view. I love a shock value. I crave messed up characters being messed up and suffer the consequences of their actions, but at that time good becoming evil.

at the end of the day it was a whole lot of nothing even with all the mommy issues

I truly believe not everything needs a deep reason. People can just find joy in anything without needing to explain themselves bad or good, but I just can’t get over how annoying a main character is like at that point I don’t give a damn about anything. Doesn’t matter how detailed or how much extra shock value you try to give it.

Honestly, I did not give a damn about the mother‘s feelings I get it. It was a metaphor, but honestly, I would much rather read the actual feelings of a mother wanting to run away from their child with or without postpartum.

I felt like it was very fair to see men being victims heavily in this book because in many cases violence that feels “normal” when done to women suddenly feels grotesque, unjust, or “unrealistic” when it’s happening to men. I believe many people experience discomfort and with that discomfort exposes the double standard in how society processes trauma, how victims are believed, and who is allowed to be vulnerable from me all of the actions in the book It’s very plausible across gender and is not really that unsettling or outlandish to me

It was fine. It wasn’t as good as the first one of the series a little annoying and repetitive wasted potential because the beginning was a good set up, but then the ending fell through and maybe a missing body scene, but that’s just me.
