This novel reinvented me as a person.

I will never be the same.

And I’m so glad I read it.

I read this aloud to one of my classes then had to finish reading the series myself. I am also watching the show, and it’s good so far.

Unique magic system, characters you care about, and an amazing plot. I have this series on my to be read again shelf.

I was pulled in from the first page, and lived every adventure and felt every emotion with them. Dark and vivid and amazing.

My middle schoolers introduced this book to me years and years ago. It is a fun adventure.

I adored this character, this world, and this adventure. More like this, please.

I enjoyed most of this series, but if you watch the show, please avoid the final season like the plague it is.

This whole series will always be top tier for me. Perhaps because I’ve loved it all my life, but most likely because it’s just that amazing.

I sort of enjoy horrifying new batches of 8th graders with this story. The unreliable narrator is peak. Where I work now every student is enraged over how the story treats elders.

The history and dive into academics were very well done. What made the book so remarkable though, was how it all managed to feel so real.
