Kristin Hannah never ceases to amaze me with the depth of the characters in her books. Her style of writing really tugs at your heartstrings, and this book is no exception. I liked Winona’s character the least, and was slightly annoyed at the constant body shaming of herself. Even at the end of the book she was self conscious about her weight, but she changed in other ways, so that made her more bearable. The theme of family redemption and forgiveness was ever present throughout the book, and is something that I think we can all connect with to some extent. Another winner of a book in my opinion.

2.5 ⭐️ I really couldn’t decide if I liked this book or not. I inwardly cringed at the number of times Wrath said “witch”, and there wasn’t enough description of the world or the characters. I felt thrown into the world of Italian references to food and culture, that didn’t seem to belong with the rest of the story. I’m slightly intrigued by what happens next, but I probably won’t continue the series.

Loved this! I loved how quippy the main characters were - I audibly laughed quite a few times. More of a focus on how the characters change, and I love the play on the Hallmark movie’s happily ever after. This was a book that I didn’t want to put down, and is one of my favorites by her.

Not bad

This was a pretty quick read for me (not that there’s anything wrong with that), but I felt like the whole book was kind of surface level writing. I wish there was more character development, I wasn’t really invested in any of them. The twist didn’t turn out to be what I thought it was, so that was interesting to me. Overall, not an amazing book but not terrible either.

More 2.5 stars for me. The fantasy world with all of the different folklore and children’s stories was interesting, but I found that I wasn’t invested. I liked the ending, and how the book wrapped up though!

Loved this book - Tova, Cameron, and Ethan were such lovable characters. Their intertwining story with Marcellus was a joy to read, and made me cry at the end. Highly recommend!

2.5 stars for me. It took me a long while to finish this. I found myself wanting to read other books instead of this one. About 3/4 of the way through, it got more interesting but I still wasn’t invested in these characters. Not sure if it was the way the story was told through the filming or if it was the characters themselves. I thought I would like that it would be told through the format of a screenplay and other things like messages, and other media but I’m not sure I did.

Already highly anticipating the next book! This one was action packed with just enough spicy moments. Definitely planning to read some of the theories about Violet.

Loved it!

Reminds me a little of the Time Traveler’s Wife with similar ideas, but it was much more of a happy story. Finished it pretty quick and didn’t want to put it down!

Probably more like 2.5 stars. Not a huge fan of Arabella as a character and thought there was something missing. I liked that so much of the book focused on the perspective of Mr. Beaumaris. Maybe I thought it would be a little more like Bridgerton and was disappointed when it wasn’t? Not the worst book, but not the best either.
