I started this book with pretty high expectations. Maybe that's what made it such a dissapointment.

The first 100 pages don't really go anywhere, and our introduction to the main character, Eon (Eona), isn't very flattering. I honestly didn't care much (or any) for her. She came off as weak and kind of useless, at least to me. Maybe I've just been spoiled by all of the kick-butt heroines I've read about before, but Eon just didn't do it for me.

The plot itself moves along pretty well, but since apparently this book can't satisfy me in anything, I found the action to be lacking. It's not that it didn't exist, but the action that went on throughout this book just didn't, well, excite me.

By the end of the book ( and I mean the VERY end. Only a few pages from The End) Eon finally shows some signs of remarkable power. Of course, as soon as it's getting good, the book ends.

I'm still not sure as to whether or not I'll read the sequel, but if I do it might not be for a while.

This volume was just as good as the previous six! I'm generally not a fan of the historical genre, but Yona of the Dawn has some of the most wonderfully written characters that I can't help but continue reading. The world-building continues to develop, showcasing the author's skill, and the characters continue to shine, keeping the readers reading. I can't recommend this series highly enough—please check it out for yourself!

I've heard that this was a very popular series, so when I saw in in my bookstore I just had to buy it. This book is about the sister Grimm (can you tell from the title?) and their granny. I am not going to do a long review so here is my short one. The character are ok, and plot was fun and mysterious, and it has fairy tale characters, need I go on?

I thought this was a fun book, with great characters. Jak was my favorite but I really liked Tamisin

I don't really know why, but I can't get into this series the way I want to. It was good to find out Lionheart's side of the story, but I don't know, I guess I just didn't like how it ended. I don't really like Daylily, and I would prefer if Rose Red could take her place.

I don't think I've ever read a manga that intrigued me quite as much as The Girl from the Other Side. Equal parts eerie and lovely, everything from the art style to the pacing of the story made me more and more curious about the truths behind this world and the situation Shiva finds herself in. The ending of this volume emhpasized that feeling even further, with the addition of a new, even more mysterious character.

As much as I would like to despise Su-won, much like Yona, I can't. Su-won's motivations for his action and his genuinely caring attitude towards the kingdom make him much more sympathetic than many villains. We met the Yellow Dragon this volume, and I don't know what to think about him yet. I know there's more to him than meets the eye—in either a positive way or a negative way. I suppose we'll find out soon enough. Onward!

These books are SO GOOD! This volume introduced us to the Blue Dragon, living in a system of caves, surrounded by people who fear and disdain him. His story was particularly fascinating, showing that not all dragon descendants are like Gija—revered and treated as a blessing rather than a curse. Despite the way he has grown up, however, he still showcases a kind personality, wanting to be accepted and loved above all. I hope to see his relationship with the rest of the team grow in further volumes!

Omg, Hak and Yona are going to be the death of me.

This volume resolved the events of the last enough to reassure me, but there were times that I genuinely feared for the safety of some of the characters—which is good because it means the story was written well! Hak and Yona continue to become closer to each other as people, instead of just lady and protector, and I hope we see a boost in scenes like that going forward!

Pierce and Emma are perfectly, if unexpectedly, suited for each other, and I can only hope that they handle the following steps with a reasonable amount of good sense and mutual trust. If I have to go through the misunderstanding trope with these two,
