I don't like that we've missed the time in between Will's remaining training as an apprentice, and his becoming a full-fledged Ranger. I was glad to see Alyss again, so that made this book much better.

I don't think I've ever read a manga that intrigued me quite as much as The Girl from the Other Side. Equal parts eerie and lovely, everything from the art style to the pacing of the story made me more and more curious about the truths behind this world and the situation Shiva finds herself in. The ending of this volume emhpasized that feeling even further, with the addition of a new, even more mysterious character.

Dawn of the Arcana had a pretty strong first volume! I find it pretty hard to feel satisfied with any manga's first volume, considering how short they are and the level of information they try to convey in that first installment. Arcana did a good job here, however, with its characters, pacing, and enjoyable artwork.

I'm not entirely sure where this story will go in the future, but I'm curious to see what plans the author holds for the following volumes!

Okay, Imraldera is officially my favorite character. I was glad to read about Eanrin, and I totally ship him and Imraldera. I look forward to reading more of these books.

The first volume of this series intrigued me enough to continue onto this one, but having finished it, I don't know if I'll be continuing. The concept and art are still as fascinating and unique as in the first book, but I don't feel the need to learn more about this world. I'm sure the resolution and revelations of future books would be interesting! I simply don't feel compelled to keep reading.

I think one of my main issues is Shiva's age, which makes sense given the story, but doesn't lend to having much of a personality to follow as a main character. She's adorable, sweet, and innocent, which works as a perfect foil for the eeriness and darkness of her surroundings, but doesn't work to keep my interest in reading.

I started this book with pretty high expectations. Maybe that's what made it such a dissapointment.

The first 100 pages don't really go anywhere, and our introduction to the main character, Eon (Eona), isn't very flattering. I honestly didn't care much (or any) for her. She came off as weak and kind of useless, at least to me. Maybe I've just been spoiled by all of the kick-butt heroines I've read about before, but Eon just didn't do it for me.

The plot itself moves along pretty well, but since apparently this book can't satisfy me in anything, I found the action to be lacking. It's not that it didn't exist, but the action that went on throughout this book just didn't, well, excite me.

By the end of the book ( and I mean the VERY end. Only a few pages from The End) Eon finally shows some signs of remarkable power. Of course, as soon as it's getting good, the book ends.

I'm still not sure as to whether or not I'll read the sequel, but if I do it might not be for a while.

This story keeps getting better and better!

I love how Kusanagi develops her characters. She's always thoughtful about showing the reason behind a character's growth instead of just thrusting it upon them.

I'm nervous about how this volume ended, but hope that we'll see a satisfying resolution in the next!

Well, I found this volume much less entertaining than the prior two. The cast of characters is expanding, which is a positive! While stuff did happen in this installment, it felt decidedly less progressive, if that makes sense.

Miyo's developing power interests me the most going forward, and I'm curious to see how she'll handle the burden of such influence over others.

I've heard that this was a very popular series, so when I saw in in my bookstore I just had to buy it. This book is about the sister Grimm (can you tell from the title?) and their granny. I am not going to do a long review so here is my short one. The character are ok, and plot was fun and mysterious, and it has fairy tale characters, need I go on?

Okay, so before this book, I hated Lionheart as a character. This book has made me see him in a much better light. He was a cowardly, unmanly, disgraceful, character before this book. I'm not saying he has improved THAT much, but he is definitely better.
