Learned a lot about my countries police, school, and jail systems by listening to this book. I feel like before I picked up this book I had some knowledge of what was going on but Michelle really digs in to the layers that need to be addressed. I have already recommended this to several people trying to learn more about the Black Lives Matters movement.
I absolutely loved this book! It's a captivating read that really gets you thinking.
This book was a slog for me! Took 9 months to finish. Most of the book is just a bunch of traveling which I wish could have been skipped over. About the last 1/3 picked up though and was decent. Because of that I may go on with the rest of the series.
I just started my own business and this book was a great way to get my priority front and center.
A bit slow to start but I really enjoyed the last half or so. If you're looking to read some female rage and don't mind ok writing this is a decent listen. (The male reader's voice reminded me of Luke Wilson).
Mostly common sense but there were some good points about managing others that would come in very helpful.
The author's humor is fairly childish but I enjoyed it. I also enjoyed seeing the more human side of Jesus H. Christ.
