This book had me in stitches. Lots of interesting characters, quotes that you may recognize and depressingly realistic.
There is a lot of humor and satire in this book, and it is enjoyable to read for the most part. This is a great American classic that explores the difficulties of growing up in the south, with strict and controlling parents. It was funny, and at times, a little sad.
Huck and Tom's dynamic is fascinating and engaging, and it adds a lot to the overall charm
There are parts of this book that have stuck with me even though I read it many years ago. This is not a feel-good story; in fact, you can experience a deep sense of hopelessness while reading it.
This is a beautifully crafted coming-of-age story. Charlie has good qualities and bad ones. The story being told through letters was something I really liked.
This story is horrifying, dismal, and eerie.
I really must have more of this writer's work! He has an incredible capacity for storytelling.
The lives of two Afghan women are explored in this book. This is a difficult story. Most of the time, it made me uneasy.
Even though it is a sad novel, I believe everyone should read it. Mature themes.
