If you’re drawn to tales of second chances, reluctant heroes, and love against the odds, this one’s for you!

This story might not click for readers who prefer lighter themes - Madeline’s struggles can get pretty heavy, with lots of angst and small-town shunning. If you have little patience for heroines who endure a lot before pushing back, or aren’t a fan of redemption arcs for former bullies, you might find it frustrating.
