About:
In "Smile and Say Murder," Nancy Drew goes undercover as an intern at a popular teen magazine publishing company to investigate death threats received by one of the co-owners, Yvonne Verdi. The main suspect is Mick Swanson, the partner of Yvonne, who believes she wants to sell out the company. The book is filled with suspicion and intrigue as Nancy navigates through the tense atmosphere at Flash magazine, dealing with complex relationships and unraveling the mystery behind the threats.
The plot also delves into a personal subplot involving Nancy and Ned's relationship, with Ned feeling neglected by Nancy's focus on her cases. The characterization is criticized for being weak, portraying Nancy as immature and petulant at times. Despite its flaws, the book keeps readers engaged with its suspenseful elements and dramatic twists, making it a compelling read for those who enjoy a good mystery.

The reading experience itself with these books aren't brilliant. Thy are mildly entertaining but the charm is more of its "brand". To get to read Nancy Drew that I've hard about since I was a kid but never read myself. Sort of false nostalgia
