After the war by the end of Bloodrose, a sad fact broke my heart but now, on this short novella, it changed and I'm freaking out. Told from the perspective of Adne, it focuses on her nightmares since the defeat of the Keepers and a break-in at the previous home of Bosque Mar. Adne has very disturbing visions of the possible future and then, thieves turn up to steal Keeper's documents. Is Logan behind that? And is Bosque Mar really dead? The novella nicely introduces a few new thoughts for the reader after the big showdown of Cremer's Nightshade trilogy, as there will be soon a new trilogy called Nightshade Legacy, starting with Snakeroot which will be released in December.
