Who Would Like This Book:
If you’re into dark, twisty mafia romance with unique characters and a healthy dose of emotional chaos, this one’s for you. Dario, the ice-cold, self-proclaimed sociopath hero, and Posy, the underestimated party girl, have a dynamic you don’t see coming. Fans of obsessive, morally gray heroes and heroines who finally stand up for themselves will enjoy their raw journey. It’s binge-worthy, unpredictably funny, unexpectedly tender in spots, and perfect for readers who appreciate flawed, complex protagonists (and don’t mind some violence and trigger warnings along the way).
Who May Not Like This Book:
If you dislike dark romance, morally ambiguous characters, or need a groveling, deeply remorseful hero, this one may not hit the mark. The first half can be rough - Dario is genuinely cold, sometimes cruel, and Posy’s choices aren’t for everyone. There are scenes with violence, emotional manipulation, and explicit content, and some found the mafia world and extreme behaviors off-putting or too intense. Not a great pick if you need lovable main characters from the jump, or if you want a tidy redemption arc.

From The Publisher:
A little sweet. A lot psycho.
Posy
When I fell for Dario Volpe, I thought he was Prince Charming, and I was the luckiest girl alive. He didn't care about my past. The talk. The stain on my family's reputation.
Then he saw something I never wanted anyone to see.
He cares now.
This isn't a breakup, it's a warning shot, and if I want to get out of this bad romance alive, I have to run and never look back.
Dario Volpe is no storybook hero. He's a psychopath, and he can't decide-kiss me? Or kill me?
Dario
I'm the man behind the curtain, the power behind the throne. I could have killed her, and no one would have blinked an eye. Posy Santoro isn't exactly a mafia princess.
No one sees her as clearly as I can-the perfect mind hidden by that knockout body in the tight dress.
I made a mistake, running her off, but now I get to play one of my favorite games.
Posy can run, but she isn't made to be free. She's made for me. And when I catch her? Game over.
Run Posy Run is a dark mafia romance. Standalone. Intended for adult readers.
HEA guaranteed.

Was okay.. But i came here after reading bad guy and honestly it does not scratch the surface of the itch i have to find another book like it.
****4.5****
I really liked this. Like, to a surprising degree. It's dark, and generally I don't like the mafia stories - too much abuse, misogyny, etc - but this one really worked for me.
The characters are interesting and complex. Posy, a pretty fucked up gal who has been in this cycle of being attracted to bad men. She craves love, is fueled by a heaping load of self-worth issues, and sells herself cheaply in exchange for affection. And guys have been pretty cruel to her.
Dario is a sociopath. He masks it well, and this book starts with him and Posy together, but superficially, both wearing the masks they present to the outside world - him, as a regular Mafia guy (read: not a sociopath, just a criminal), her as the simple Mafia girlfriend, happy to fill his every need. Not happy, really, but settled.
Then there's some political game playing, and Dario is led to believe Posy betrayed him. He scares her, tears her down (verbally), and casts her out.
And then he finds out he got played.
Honestly, it was a fun book, and I enjoyed the ride.
