Widely considered one of the greatest American novels, Adventures of Huckleberry
Finn tells the story of Huck Finn and his companion, the slave Jim, as they journey down the Mississippi river after running away from Huck's alcoholic father and Jim's owners.
As they travel, they encounter a floating house, feuding families and cunning grifters, but more importantly Huck gets to know Jim and regard him as a friend
and equal, overcoming the racial prejudices of the time, in a landmark narrative which poignantly addresses the issues of growing up and finding freedom.

There is a lot of humor and satire in this book, and it is enjoyable to read for the most part. This is a great American classic that explores the difficulties of growing up in the south, with strict and controlling parents. It was funny, and at times, a little sad.
Huck and Tom's dynamic is fascinating and engaging, and it adds a lot to the overall charm
Really sweet story! It's clear from the start that Huck Finn is a unique young man. The story's tempo fluctuates; it slows down and then speeds up again. It's a truly great book and I can now see why it remains popular even today.
This is America's greatest epic, on par with Moby Dick.
Takes place in 19th-century Mississippi, before slavery was abolished. The dialect takes a bit of effort to get used to.
The wild adventures of Huck are sure to be a hit in the classroom.
This was an excellent read. Huck and Jim, a freed slave, journey down the Mississippi River and meet up with Tom Sawyer. Lots of humour.
A classic that everyone should try.
I had to read this for school years ago. It has much more significance to me today than when I first read it.
