SYNOPSIS

Set in the UK.

With fear of nation security and cyber terrorism, people, called Minders, have classified information implanted into their brains.

Although it isn’t advertised as a sequel, it is apparently set in same world as Mars’ previous novels, The One & The Passengers.

MY THOUGHTS

I had at least read The One, but based on what I have seen others write, I think this likely would have been better if I also read The Passengers first, too.

This is the third book I’ve read by Mars, and my first two reads by him were both 4-5 stars each. Unfortunately, this is the weakest one I have read by him so far.

The premise was cool, but I didn’t particularly connect with any of the characters. It was an overwhelmingly meh / okay read. Nothing very memorable about it. Ending wasn’t great.

TL;DR: ⭐️⭐️💫2.5 stars. I have read 2 others by Mars, and I gave those both 4-5 stars. This one was least favorite Mars read for me so far.
