Who Would Like This Book:
If you’re a fan of dark, gritty romance with high stakes, deliciously flawed characters, and a hefty dose of suspense, you’ll probably fly through Sparrow. L.J. Shen’s writing is addictive and intense, with a tough but lovable heroine and a brooding bad-boy antihero at the center. The enemies-to-lovers dynamic, simmering sexual tension, and mafia backdrop make it a must-read for anyone who loves their romance with a sharp edge and a side of danger.
Who May Not Like This Book:
This book might not be for you if you’re sensitive to darker themes, enjoy wholesome, feel-good romances, or steer clear of morally complex leads. Some readers found the hero too cruel for comfort, didn’t feel chemistry right away, or disliked some of the relationship dynamics (like the forced marriage and taboo age gap). There are also scenes some might find problematic, including infidelity and aggressive behavior, so it’s definitely not everyone’s cup of tea.

Every southie in Boston knows that name. The son of a dead mobster. The heart throb with steel blue eyes. "The Fixer" who can make or break you in this city.

That's me. No one seemed to remember my name up until he barged into my life.
But then he caged me.
Kidnapped me.

Put simply, Troy Brennan clipped my wings.
