Who Would Like This Book:
Brutal Prince is a fast-paced, highly entertaining mafia romance featuring an explosive enemies-to-lovers dynamic. If you love arranged marriage tropes, witty banter, and a heroine who’s as bold and unpredictable as the hero is calculating, this one is for you. Aida’s wild energy paired with Callum’s buttoned-up composure makes for delicious chemistry, plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, and really fun family drama. It’s a solid pick for anyone who enjoys spicy romance with a big side of chaos and a strong, capable female lead.
Who May Not Like This Book:
Some readers may find the story a bit over-the-top or the characters' actions too immature at times, with certain dramatic scenes bordering on the ridiculous. If you’re looking for a truly gritty, dark mafia experience, this lighter, more comedic take might not hit the mark. Also, if you want a slow, drawn-out romantic build, the quick enemies-to-lovers transition and some insta-feelings could feel rushed. Trigger warnings for violence, though the book doesn’t get as intense as some in the genre.

From The Publisher:
He's No Prince Charming…
Callum Griffin is the heir to the Irish Mafia. He's ruthless, arrogant, and he wants to kill me.
We got off on the wrong foot when I set a (very small) fire in his house.
Our families believe a marriage pact is the only thing that will prevent all-out warfare.
I think I might need to murder him while he sleeps.
This would all be a lot easier if Callum wasn't so damned good-looking.
But I've got a lockbox around my heart. Because even if I'm forced to marry him…
I could never love a brutal prince.
"Brutal Prince" is the explosive first act in the epic "Brutal Birthright" series. It's a stand-alone Dark Mafia Romance, complete with HEA and no cliffhangers. It contains blazing hot bedroom scenes for mature readers only!!! more

This book is well written and the plot flows nicely, but I just did not like the characters that much and the emotional relationship between the FMC and MMC was not developed enough. First off, the FMC did not have any character development. While she did develop feelings for the MMC throughout the book, she never really showed any true vulnerability with him (or anyone). This made them falling in love feel more artificial and made her character less fun to read about because she lacked emotional depth. The MMC was also not my favorite in the sense that he came off primarily as "stuck up, immature rich boy" for the first 100 pages instead of a hot, powerful, masculine man. It was hard to shake that initial impression of him no matter how hard the author tried to give him opportunities to be macho. The FMC and MMC love connection in general was not properly supported by any deep conversations. It was all steamy scenes and escaping danger together, which is fun, but is not a fantastic, must-read book make. Additonally, I did not like how aggressive the MMC was towards the FMC at the beginning of the book - for example, he was way too comfortable with almost drowning her for revenge. That is part of the immature, fly-off-the-handle aspect to the MMC, which was a major turn off. I prefer for MMCs to have control overthemselves and at least some lines they won't cross with the FMC even before they have deep feelings (aka don't physically hurt her on purpose ever). Overall, it is an okay read.
