The story follows Yorick's journey across the US in a post-apocalyptic world where women have to navigate a society without men, dealing with conflicting ideologies and struggling to ensure the continuation of the human race. The writing style is described as engaging, with a mix of humor, intrigue, and unexpected plot twists that keep readers hooked from the very beginning.

The premise for this series is that *something* has happened (we are following this story from the main character's POV, so we, like him, don't know exactly what) that wiped out all the men on earth. With the exception of poor Yorick (his father was a Shakespearean buff), who has the dubious distinction of being the last man alive. I know, it sounds like the setup for a bad joke. Its not. ;-)

I think that this is a pretty fun series. We follow Yorick as he travels across this post-Apocalyptic country, and see how people are dealing. Some are trying to survive. Some are waiting for the end. Some dive into religion, some into insanity. Its a good read!
