Who Would Like This Book:
Packed with action, humor, and memorable characters, this book is classic Rick Riordan - fast-paced adventures with mythological twists. The camaraderie among Magnus and his crew, especially new focus on the Floor 19 gang, gives the story real heart. The series shines with its inclusive cast: you'll meet Muslim characters, genderfluid heroes, and diverse backgrounds, all handled with warmth and depth. If you love Norse myths, witty banter, and tales about unlikely heroes growing into themselves, this is your jam. Perfect for fans of Riordan’s other work, mythology buffs, and anyone looking for some positive, modern representation!
Who May Not Like This Book:
Some readers weren't as enchanted, feeling the story followed too much of a familiar Riordan formula - predictable quests, similar humor, and plot beats. The pacing felt rushed for a few, especially toward the climax, and a couple of folks were left wanting more excitement or depth. If you crave tightly woven mysteries, you might miss that aspect here. Also, if you’re hoping for completely resolved romantic subplots or epic danger, this one may leave you a bit underwhelmed.

I believe this series tried too hard... The characters were not that memorable or lovable, the plot was boring, and the ending left questions unanswered and a lot to be desired.
