Admittedly, it took me a little time to get fully immersed in this installment, but once the story gained momentum, I was hooked all over again.
The introduction of the Hunters of Artemis (one of my favorite goddesses) and characters like Bianca and Nico di Angelo add a fresh dynamic to the series. Bianca's decision to join the Hunters was a surprise all over again.
I hope you are prepared for some laughs, heartbreak, and a continuation of this thrilling adventure.

I was a little disappointed in this book seeing him use the trope of throw away characters. I hope he resolves this by having Bianca pop up in one of the other books somehow.

As an avid fan of all things mythology, this book was incredibly satisfying and had me laughing out loud too many times to count. Would recommend 😊

This book felt different from the first two. It focused more on character development, which was great, but it took me a bit to warm up to the new characters. The pacing at the start felt slower because of that, though it picked up later. I did miss the fun, whimsical side quests from the earlier books, but the deeper dive into the characters made up for it. The tone was heavier, and the stakes definitely rose, shifting the overall vibe. Even though I didn’t get the same feel as the first two books, I believe I’ll still enjoy the rest of the series, even if it continues in this direction. I just need to adjust to the change. Overall, it’s a solid 5-star read.
3.5 stars. Started the series long time ago and forgot about it, I need to finish it. It's enjoyable but I don't seem to love it as much as other people.

This continues to be an incredibly enjoyable series!
The main character, Percy Jackson, is starting to grow and develop and really come into his own as a hero. Every book adds new characters that are equally well-developed and interesting. This book introduced us to Thalia and a gang of female maiden Hunters that were awesome. I like a YA book that has well-developed and capable female characters throughout, and this series definitely meets that criteria. We have now met Annabeth, Thalia, Artemis, Zoe, Athena, Aphrodite. We were also introduced to two new Half-Bloods, and I think Nico is going to turn out to be a fascinating character. Finally, this installment of the series went full-throttle into the action and never slowed down. I am also amazed by how genuinely funny these books always are. I can't wait to read the next one!
