Who May Not Like This Book:
If you crave twisty, fast-paced thrillers or deeply complex puzzles, you might find this installment a bit gentle. Some modern readers find the language occasionally dense and the mystery less challenging to crack. Now this was up to the standard of the first one. An interesting murder, Wales again, and Cadfael using his many talents, all with a dose of monastery politics.
As always, these books are good. I thought that the resolution was very interesting.
