Up until this point I kind of liked the series, but mostly I kept reading it because it was supposed to be so good. This book is where it actually gets good, this and the next 4 (that's how far I've read so far) are worth reading the first 6 for.
Polka never dies! I adored this entry because of the humor in the problem solving. It doesn't shy away from negativity but it doesn't come off as hopeless or angsty.
I always enjoy the Dresden Files books, and the series only gets better with each installment. These are like comfort food for me, so it’s nice to have another one to read now and then. I’ve definitely been taking my sweet time reading them, but they’re also fairly self-contained, so it’s not like I’m getting only part of a story. This installment introduces some new characters and puts Harry on a collision course with the wardens. He also rides a resurrected dinosaur to fight evil wizards, so it’s got a lot going for it.
Solo por la escena final ya merecería la pena leer la saga, y si encima el resto tienen buen nivel, para que hablar más.
This was an awesome addition to the Dresden files, James Marsters does such an amazing job creating such an amazing audible world with it’s many characters.
Murph missing from this book both made me sad and happy to not hear her believe that Harry was trying to cross her… lmao
Thomas, Mouse, and Butters are my new favorite characters. This quartet with Harry is a hilarious bunch. I did miss Mister this book though, The ransacking of Harry’s apartment left me wondering what happened to him during this time.
Angry and Don’t give a F Harry is in fact my very favorite thing to read, ahhhh I love it.
I'm clearly hooked on to these now
Once you learn to ignore the gratuitous description of every woman Dresden meets, you can actually enjoy these books
Another addition to the Dresden series and another great book by Butcher. This one is probably the darkest of all the books I have read in this series.
Harry is blackmailed by Mavra who wants him to find
Word of Kemmler, a book written by one of the most powerful and murderous necromancers in history. Unfortunately, three Kemmler's students are also looking for it. And each of them is really powerful. The whole thing quickly changes into a deadly threat to the city and it is Harry who has to stop it.
The whole story, even though very dark, is really entertaining. There are many unexpected twists and some witty dialogues that made me laugh a lot. There is no Murphy in this book, but the interaction between Harry and his brother as well as some other friends is totally sufficient.
I'm giving this one 4.5 star and look forward to read the next book.
