Who Would Like This Book:

If you’re looking for a sci-fi romance that tosses out all the outdated tropes about gender roles and consent, this book is a gem! Readers love the refreshing relationship dynamic between an AI experiencing life in an organic body for the first time and their genuinely kind, scientist love interest. The thoughtful exploration of alien cultures - where gender norms are entirely different from ours - makes for a stand-out read. If you crave sweet, respectful romance, care deeply about consent and nuanced representation, and enjoy a story that’s as much about personal growth as it is about love (plus clever animal companions!), this installment in Galactic Love will make your heart happy.

Who May Not Like This Book:

Some readers found it hard to connect with the non-human perspective and the frequent use of non-binary or plural pronouns, which occasionally made following the action tricky. If you're looking for a more traditional romance with human leads or struggle with sci-fi books that use unconventional language or focus a lot on gender discussions, you might find this book tougher to get into. A few also felt that it wasn’t quite as gripping as the first in the series or wished for more world-building to balance the strong character focus.

A quirky, uplifting space romance bursting with heart, consent, and clever subversions of genre tropes - perfect for fans of sci-fi love stories who want something fresh and inclusive.

He knows he planned to build a life for himself on Gravas Station, but he has no clue what he's been doing for the last half cycle. Nor does he understand why his ship crashed. A genius Tiralan scientist saved him by copying his code into an organic host, and after meeting her meddling mothers, it seems like his problems have only just begun...

I don't have anything I didn't particularly like with this audiobook but still I couldn't get as invested in the story as I would have liked. It might because I jumped head first in book two without reading the first one. But I'm not very tempted to read the first one at the moment.
