Comment

The first volume of this series intrigued me enough to continue onto this one, but having finished it, I don't know if I'll be continuing. The concept and art are still as fascinating and unique as in the first book, but I don't feel the need to learn more about this world. I'm sure the resolution and revelations of future books would be interesting! I simply don't feel compelled to keep reading.

I think one of my main issues is Shiva's age, which makes sense given the story, but doesn't lend to having much of a personality to follow as a main character. She's adorable, sweet, and innocent, which works as a perfect foil for the eeriness and darkness of her surroundings, but doesn't work to keep my interest in reading.
